Egerton University at Maranda @100

Maranda High School, a national school in Siaya County celebrated its 100 years of existence. This is an event which was attended by dignitaries some of which are Alumni of Maranda High School. They included The Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya Hon. David Maraga, Former Prime Minister Hon. RailaAmolloOdinga, Senate speaker Hon. Ken Lusaka, Senate minority leader who is also siaya senator Hon. James Orengo, RariedaMp also Alumni of Maranda Hon. OtiendeAmollo and many others just to mention but a few. Egerton University participated in this event upon invitation by Maranda High School. This grate honour of invitation is as a result of long term friendship and partnership between Egerton University and Maranda High School. In this event, Egerton University was given its own tent where exhibition of University programs to Maranda High School students and parents took place. This is a step undertaken by the university administration the division of Academic Affairs through the Directorate of International Linkages and Career Services to do marketing of University programs to prospective high school students and the parents. University staffs also issued out brochures to prospective students and parents, wrist bands and pens bearing the name of Egerton University to appreciate those clients that visit the University Tent.
