Egerton University Student Awarded a US Fellowship

Mr. Dennis Kigiri, a student of Animal Nutrition from the department of Animal Sciences, has been selected for 2019 Animal Feed training under the Cochran Fellowship Program of the United States of America.  The training will take place at Michigan State University from  September 28, 2019 to October 12, 2019. He was selected together with other senior animal nutritionists drawn from Africa including the Head of Livetstock Feeds and Services in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation, Kenya.

Dennis has been coordinating the Seeds of Gold Magazine as an animal science expert. He holds a Diploma in Animal Health, Bachelors of Science in Animal Sciences and currently pursuing Master of Science in Animal Nutrition all from Egerton University.

The Division is in full support of such fellowships and advises other students and staff to apply and compete for similar opportunities.
